Yamane Taiko

Yamane Taiko is a San Diego Japanese Drumming ensemble formed in 2024. They are dedicated to providing new and experienced players with a means of pursuing the art and culture of taiko with passion, humility, and intentionality.

The name Yamane translates to “mountain root,” which symbolizes one of our core values: the beginner’s mindset. Envisioning no matter how far you go, you can always find yourself at the very start or “root” of a vast, ever-ascending mountain.
